A masterclass entitled  “Recognition of Stroke, stroke mimics and history taking; is my patient having a stroke?” is being held on the 29 May at Airedale Hospital Keighley and will be facilitated by Dr Eman Abdus Sami - Stroke Consultant and Clinical Lead at Airedale NHS Trust. Other masterclass sessions coming up include: physiology and anatomy of the brain; radiology acute stroke imaging; general treatment for stroke, TIA and management of acute stroke management and treatment; post-acute stroke complications; Inter arterial therapy/thrombectomy (aimed at ambulance medics and nurses working at the front end); life after a stroke; pain and upper limb management and visual impairment; cognitive rehabilitation; a vocational rehabilitation training course and orthotics.
