New West Yorkshire and Harrogate pharmacy medicines manufacturing hub named
Progress is continuing to construct a new medicines manufacturing hub, which has been designed to support patients across West Yorkshire and Harrogate. The hub has now been named as “Meadow House” following a vote by the staff involved in the project. The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility will operate as part of a ‘hub and spoke model’ across the six WYAAT organisations, supporting safer and more efficient care for patients across the region.
GPs across West Yorkshire and Harrogate to benefit from faster patient imaging tools through new technology
From Summer 2026, new technology will be rolled out to GP practices across West Yorkshire and Harrogate to support GPs to request scans and other images and guidance relating to musculoskeletal (MSK) diagnoses, in addition to the x-rays and ultrasounds they can already order on behalf of patients.
Microbiology teams merge as part of WYAAT pathology services reconfiguration
Last month (29 September 2025), Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) pathology colleagues welcomed former Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust (MYTT) microbiology colleagues into their team at the Centre for Laboratory Medicine (CfLM). 22 staff have made the permanent move as part of our work across WYAAT to develop pathology services to be more sustainable and resilient to the future needs of our local population.
