Hospital trusts in West Yorkshire and Harrogate collectively release this information at 2pm on a Thursday on a weekly basis to provide the media and public with an overview of the current position within the regional and local NHS.
There is currently a combined total of 416 patients who have tested positive for Covid-19 receiving care in our hospitals across West Yorkshire and Harrogate, with 72 patients requiring intensive care.
Whilst the number of Covid-19 patients admitted to our hospitals is slowly decreasing, it is still extremely important that people across West Yorkshire and Harrogate keep themselves safe by washing their hands, wearing masks, social-distancing, and adhering to national Government guidance. It is only by doing this that we can make sure our local NHS can provide urgent and emergency care for all those who need it.
If you are in a priority group eligible for vaccination, you will be contacted to book an appointment. A daily report showing the numbers of those vaccinated nationally is published on the NHS England website.
The vaccine rollout means that gradually more people are becoming protected from becoming seriously ill with Covid-19. However, it is important that people continue to adhere to national Government guidance after receiving their vaccination to help prevent spreading Covid-19 to others.
Each trust’s current position on planned surgery is available on individual trust websites. A daily record of patients who have died is published by NHS England.
